How funny! I just spent a while reading reviews for North -- and looking at the gorgeous cover -- and I never even noticed the similarities. As the article said, they do both stand on their own. They each have a different mood, different colors, different fonts, etc. I've definitely seen some covers that are far more similar than these, though, and I bet more than a few readers have gotten confused! Too bad the two of you didn't blurb each other. That would have been ironic...
Hey Caryn-
I recently saw that girl on another cover, eyes open this time!!
She's really making the YA circuit!

Hey! This is my first time replying to your blog. I just finished reading "Evermore." Your cover is absolutely gorgeous and this just makes me want to read "North" as well!
Hey Cary-
Welcome!
You know, I look at it like showing up at a party and someone is wearing the same dress as me--we wear it differently and there's room for all of us!
I've heard great things about NORTH OF BEAUTIFUL!
Thanks for stopping by!
Interesting PW story.
At first, I thought this was an overseas version of EVERMORE.
Both covers are gorgeous and the model's face speaks volumes.
Hey Keri-
I know-it's a great photo- I can totally see why it got used more than once!
This girl is also on SAY THE WORD, by Jeannine Garsee (but her eyes are open on that one!)
