Gorilla Love

That's Koko, a 35 year old gorilla who learned to speak American Sign Language when she was just a baby. She now has a vocabulary of over 1000 signs and understands even more spoken English. She loves cats, wants to have a baby, and has indicated that she will teach her children sign language, which will engender the next generation of interspecies communication.

She's also an artist-- she titled the work below "LOVE"As are her friends.

Anyway, I saw this today on Daily Candy and was totally charmed, so I thought I'd share it with YOU!

Happy Friday Everyone!

Hey Sally-
I know, so cute right? I'm a sucker for any kind of "animals acting like humans story." Though "animals dressed as humans" not so much!

Totally amazing. Give her a keyboard and I wonder if she could write a book ;-)
